- to give municipal leaders the information they need about legislative
and other policy priorities affecting small towns; and,
- to provide 1st selectmen, mayors, managers and other town
leaders with resources and contact information to help them with
the job of managing and governing small towns.

group's first "Town Leaders' Day at

COST's Connecticut Town Meeting is
THE most important legislative event
held each year for suburban and
rural town leaders from throughout
the state. Hundreds of 1st
selectmen, mayors, managers and
other municipal officials met
on January 21, 2009 at the Crowne
Plaza Hotel & Conference Center in
Cromwell to discuss and adopt COST's
2009 Legislative Platform.
