June 27: Emergency Management Workshop
COST is teaming up with state officials to hold an Emergency Management Conference.

When:   June 27, 2018
Registration - 7:30 AM - 8:30 AM
Program - 8:30 AM - 1:30 PM

Where:  Aqua Turf (Glass Room), Plantsville, CT


Fee:      $65 per person (COST Members)
             $75 per person (Non-members and Associate Members)

  • Emergency Management - Your Legal Role & Responsibilities
  • State/Local Coordination - Working with Regional Coordinators, Setting up the Unified Command, Activating the Regional Emergency Support Plan, Intrastate and Interstate Mutual Aid, Available Grants
  • School Security - Standards, Planning, Training, Exercise and Assessment
  • The Make Safe Protocol – Storm Response Communications & Coordination
  • Post-Disaster Requirements and Expectations, including tracking and documenting response costs and the importance of short term and long term recovery efforts
  • Next Generation 911 / Text to 911
  • Shared Use of Statewide Land Mobile Radio System
  • The FirstNet Mission – Enhancing Public Safety Communications
